Oxymoral Team members Ján Gallo and Fedor Miliaev in Olomouc
On 11-12th September 2025, the International Scientific Conference “the 27th Olomouc Days of Russian Studies” was held at the Faculty of Arts of Palacký University in Olomouc (Czech Republic). The central theme was “Russian Studies in the Time of the Russian War II: Decolonization of Thought in Language, Literature and Culture”. Linguists, literary scholars and doctoral students from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Sweden, Taiwan and Japan participated with their papers. The conference was attended by two linguists of the OXYMORAL project Jan Gallo and Fedor Miliaev. They presented their papers („the Linguistic and Cultural Image of Russia in Contemporary Slovak Media Texts” and“the Possibilities of Analysis and Interpretation of Contemporary Polycode Media Texts”, respectively) as part of the project. Both papers aroused a considerable response among the participants and provoked a lively discussion. On the second day, the organizers thanked all colleagues for their active participation, creating a pleasant working and informal atmosphere.
