On Thursday, 12 March, a filming team from the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic visited Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra as part of an initiative highlighting unique and innovative study programmes at Slovak universities. The recording took place, inter alia, in the Semantic Laboratory (SemLab) at the Department of Slavic Philologies, Faculty of Arts. The laboratory was established within the framework of the OXYMORAL project and supports interdisciplinary research and education.
During the filming, Professor Beňuš from the Department of English and American Studies, Faculty of Arts, was interviewed in the laboratory space. Also present was Professor Munková from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Informatics, the main guarantor of the study programme Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing. By hosting the filming in SemLab, the OXYMORAL project was able to present its research environment and infrastructure to a broader audience. The resulting reel will help highlight the laboratory as a space where linguistic research, digital humanities and artificial intelligence can meet.
